The aurora 450 was designed especially for
garment sewers and creative sewers and comes with BSR functionality.

BERNINA stands for Swiss quality: from the
ergonomic and valuable design to the stable and long lasting mechanical quality.

best ease of use functions and features. The display shows everything the sewer
needs at glance in the main menu, such as the recommended presser foot, stitch
length, width and needle position, stitch graphic, presser foot pressure  and
feed dog position. The user can adjust the settings of any stitch to her
requirements. Any adjustment is automatically stored temporarily, which allows
switching between stitches during a project without having to remember the
settings.By offering a consistent thread tension, the
standard thread tension is appropriate for most sewing. Still the user
can alter the thread tension or the presser foot pressure for special fabrics
quickly.Holding a huge amount of bobbin thread (up to 90% more than
competitors), the BERNINA rotary hook system requires less bobbin changes and
consequently less frequent bobbin winding. Moreover, the powerful BERNINA motor
provides a very good stitch penetration; the user can easily sew over many
layers of even heavy fabric. For precise stitching or
pivoting the speed can infinitely be regulated by a slide speed control. Being
able to adjust speed is also very handy when winding bobbins e.g. of metallic or
thick threads.The aurora 450 is fitted with the newest BERNINA needle
threader - the best one in the sewing industry. The new system is easy to
understand, very reliable and working with any thread.The daylight, shadow-free CFL light illuminates the entire
stitching area from all sides for accurate view on both needle and sewing
project. No matter where or when the sewer is creative - the CFL light
